*Haldir wanders around holding a bottle of miruvor*

*Sikorsky is passed out on the ground*

Too many ideas are fat...full of stuff...can't write...

Argh! Which one to poke at?

*Haldir takes a slug of miruvor* Ahhh....*hic* who gives a damn...I'm poking them into bits and pieces.

Merry Christmas peeps!

The strike is over! Haldir and Sikorsky have decided to be cooperative. ^_^ Look for fics to come by the throes!

-Shadow Chaser

   Wednesday, December 24, 2003
And so the strike continues, with the muses feeding the Star Wars idea instead of the poor little LotR idea.

Sikorsky and Haldir have decided to start a fanfic based on what Master played and completed in 5 days: Knights of the Old Republic.

Hopefully after this little fiasco, they would be able to cooperate and feed that poor little starving LotR idea.

   Monday, December 22, 2003
Haldir and Sikorsky, even after having their Master watch LotR for a second time (this time with her parents), refuse to continue writing in Shadow's story, The Shadows that Remain.

They have gone on a Christmas vacation.

Damn those muses.

In other news:

Shadow has now been addicted to Knights of the Old Republic, a Dungeons & Dragons-esque game for the PC. It's good. But that doesn't deter her from writing in her fic.

She tries to promise that it will be up before Christmas day as a little present for all her readers.

   Thursday, December 18, 2003
Haldir and Sikorsky are currently examining the fat little LotR idea that has lapped up Return of the King so they can apply it to Shadow's The Shadows that Remain story. Be sure to look for an update either tonight or tomorrow.

Shadow Chaser saw the movie yesterday, Dec. 17, at 9pm. ^_^ The greatest day of her life!

   Friday, December 12, 2003
I decided to take a few days break from writing. But I'll be back on the weekend to post up more stuff for Master here.

Happy Holidays peeps!

We're going home to play Halo!

   Thursday, December 11, 2003
Yesterday, Shadow has just completed her finals so that means she will be going home soon. Which also means that the seven muses in Algae's head will be botherng her.

*Haldir suddenly has a revelation*

Uh oh.

That means they'll be bothering me. AIEE!

But anyways, she'll be posting up the next chapter of her epic, The Shadows that Remain in a day or two. Stay tuned. ^_^

-Haldir wanders off to see if Sikorsky is still burnt from yesterday's finals and debate.

Ohh...crispy muse... ^_^x

   Saturday, December 06, 2003
Well, Master has just gotten snow so she'll be stuck inside. They're expecting 10-12 inches. Wow. ^_^ That means more writing and more posting for fanfics and the like. Though she'll also be writing in her various school essays and finals, mind you.

Anyways, its still early morning even though its 11:00am, she just woke up so she'll have to clean herself up first!

Bye peeps!

-Haldir wanders off...^_^x

   Wednesday, November 26, 2003
*Sikorsky peeks in*

[Meep.]

*He waddles to the middle of the room*

[Ahem.]

[Greetings. I know Master was supposed to update, but she is an idiot and prat.]

[Don't tell Haldir I said that.]

[Haldir is too protective of Master. I think he needs to loosen up and drink miruvor.]

[Anyways, she has recently become addicted to Halo for the PC.]

[And is slacking off in her writing. Therefore, she is an idiot.]

[Thank you. You may now go back to your selected reading.]

-Sikorsky

   Tuesday, November 25, 2003
Yes, yes, I know I was supposed to update on Lord of the Rings: The Shadows that Remain, but you try to concentrate when your master's second muse is pestering you!

Oh, yes, I forgot.

I present to you, Sikorsky, Master's newest muse. Sikor here communicates by signs, like Genma-panda from Ranma 1/2.

Go figure.

[Hi. Let me sleep. It's too early.]

Oh shut up Sikorsky. You don't like Master's 8am class anyways. It's boring shit.

Anyways, Master will be going home today, so hopefully by tonight, if she isn't tired, there'll be a new chapter in the aformentioned fic above by tonight.

Provided she doesn't get distracted by home stuff...which is very likely, cuz she hasn't been home since August 31.

-Haldir wanders off...^_^x

*Haldir watches in amusement as an Idea has been lit on fire.*

Oh well, that's what you get when you're playing b-day parties for Master. It's her birthday today and the Ideas decided to celebrate by lighting stuff on fire in her head, giving her nothing to think about. Oops. ^_^

But anyways, her Original Fiction Idea has been resilient so far, its trying to coax her into writing stuff in her novel, Star's Children. Hmm...maybe we should lite it on fire. MWAHAHAH!

*Shadow interferes* Hey! Haldir, stop it. Bad muse! Bad, bad, bad! You can get my Ideas drunk, but don't light them to crispy bacon okay?

*Haldir pouts* Fine. Be that way.

Shadow: Awww, tis okay, little Haldir. Here, go play with Sephiroth's masaume.

Haldir: *eyes lights up* Ohhh.... *runs off with the sword* MWAHAHAH FEAR ME!!!!!!!

Shadow: *sweatdrops* Oi, tis a sad life of a muse.

-Shadow signs off...@_@

MYAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Master just saw Matrix Revolutions today and it was GREAT! Closure! Death! People die! Good plot! It was better than the second one, though there were a lot of questions left unanswered. But then again, that's what fanfics are for! MWAHAHAHAHAH!

Okay, me go think a bit and pace around, maybe an Idea will belt me around!

-Haldir scurries off!

Gundam Wing: It's beyond the bishounens...
By: Shadow Chaser

I know, I was supposed to write about torturing favorite characters, but I decided to write this since I'm actually on a writing streak for Retaliation. ^_^ Yay! Go me! Go Haldir!

Initially, when I saw Gundam Wing on Cartoon Network's Toonami on March 6, 2000, I was intrigued. Not only was a robot-anime, they also had five very cute boys, Heero, Duo, Trowa, Quatre, and Wufei. Nice, nice, I thought. I was only a sophomore in high school then, failing Geometry, and basically not knowing what the world was really like. I didn't really care for the political intrigue in Gundam Wing, I only cared for the fact that the plot was interesting and that the Gundam were wicked cool!

I started to write fanfics for Gundam Wing, even before I saw Endless Waltz or finished watching the series' first run end on Toonami. I loved the characters and thought I had a good grasp of how they acted. How very wrong I was.

Now, three years since my infatuation with Gundam Wing, I'm still writing a GW story, titled Retaliation. But instead of my naievity (sp), I have a better understanding and grasp on what Gundam Wing is all about. It's not just the surface bishounens that dominate the series, nor is it the Gundams themselves, but it's the political intrigue all underneath.

I recently re-watched a few critical episodes of GW just to get myself in a refresher course for Retaliation as I hadn't written in it since last year - since I fell out of the GW craze-phase. Now I understand what politcs has such an importance in it, and why many people love it, not only for the pilots themselves, but for the intrigue inside of it. I understand now that GW has a deeper meaning that only with experience of the political world, do people get it.

Now, as a freshman in college and with a better understanding of politics, I can re-watch and fall back in love with Gundam Wing, this time from a newer perspective. And so, I give you "Retaliation", the final chapter in my After War Quartet, and probably one of the best political-influenced fanfiction I've ever written.

Cheers and enjoy peoples! Oh and by the way, Quatre's still mine! Mine forever! ^_^

Why I write Legolas-centric fics?
By: Shadow Chaser

Yes, its been a long time and here's another edition. Legolas. The elf that was made popular by Peter Jackson's movie, all because of the handsome Orlando Bloom (who is a good actor, but needs some more movies under his belt before I can really consider him a good actor - give him a few years like Leo DiCaprio and it'll turn good).

The Legolas in Tolkien's novel was more of a background character. Sometimes providing information, other times just so damn annoying because of his hyperness (you see how he acts in Lothlorien - creepy). Personally I think the real reason he's in the Fellowship is because he lost Gollum. He was supposed to be taking responsibility for Gollum and lost him in the woods of Mirkwood - thereby allowing the Nazgul to capture him. Hmph. He's only in the Fellowship to make up for his accident.

But that doesn't mean I like him anyways. I've always had a facination with Elves, and particually latched onto whatever Elf was mentioned in Tolkien's books (the fact that Jackson doesn't include Glorfindel in the movie just pisses me off to no end). Legolas just so happened to be part of that facination.

But I'll admit. It was the movies that made me see Legolas in another light. Jackson portrayed the sprightly 2,000-something year old Elf as a different character, somehow a stronger character with more knowledge and backbone. It didn't hurt that he got the cute Orlando Bloom to play him. ^_^ (Yes yes all you fan girls can go glomp on Orlando, I don't really care)

I found that in combining what Tolkien mentioned about Legolas and his family and what Jackson re-interpreted about the Elf made it for an interesting combination. It made for some forgotten history that screamed, "LEGOLAS NEEDS A BACKGROUND TO BE WRITTEN". So there. I decided I was going to write about the early years of the 3rd Age, before Bilbo Baggins left the Shire on his adventure with Gandalf in "The Hobbit".

Besides, being a history buff and facinated with Middle Earth's history I felt there was a need to put into a story what happened, especially in Angmar and Dol Guldur after Sauron. ^_^

I digress... So what's with "The Shadows that Remain" you ask? It's my own twisted history on life. ^_^ My brainchild for screwing up Middle Earth and making Tolkien roll a bit in his grave (sorry good sir, but I had to).

Magic was only hinted in the books and movies. I love magic and anything that had spells or casting powers. Anything that was mystical or science fiction-like I loved. And so I felt that Elves, through a certain time, had to have innate magical powers and had to use them to defend themselves. I mean check out Elrond Perendil. He heals...there's use of magic in there. ^_^

And so I made Legolas and all of the Elves of Middle Earth and of Tolkien's world have magic. After all, Elves were mystical, weren't they? But I made Legolas special. Because I felt that after a few thousand centures, he would have changed his bright and sprightly outlook on life and digressed into more cynical and hardened ways. I mean just look at the times he's living in, in my fic.

I wanted Legolas to be special. To be someone that I can write for. A hero of sorts that goes through suffering and pain just to emerge as strong as ever, if not stronger. So I put him through torture, pain, and suffering.

Now you can guess what my next essay's about. Why I torture my favorite characters. ^_^

I'm currently writing in LoTR, but I've been thinking of writing in Harry Potter. Looks and sounds interesting. Let's see where's this going.

I thought Stargate was next in line. Oops. Looks like the LoTR Idea has been very persistent, as are the College Essays Idea. Eeep! Must run away!

-Haldir runs away from the College Essays Idea....

Well, if you havent' been by Shadow Chaser's fanfiction.net profile then you've been sleeping. She updated on LoTR: The Shadows that Remain and wookieehut.com also has that update too!

Next fic in line...Stargate.

Yippeee!

*Haldir walks on and takes a bow*

Yes I have finally arrived!

"And about time..." grumbles Shadow Chaser from the background.

Ahem. Well. Sorry folks for the delay! But today was Shadow Chaser's first day of college school. And right now she's enjoying a break before her next class, Speech Communication. Heh! But your faithful muse has been conjuring up a lot of ideas for these past few days and I am happy to report that so far, there is four pages in the next chapter of "The Shadows that Remains" fic. It will be posted up soon on fanfiction.net. Do not fear! Haldir is hear!

"That was a horrible analogy and limerick Haldir," grumbles Shadow Chaser.

Whatever. But anyways, for other fics that I'm planning on writing for the next week or so, it's Stargate SG-1, Harry Potter, and her original fic, Star's Children. So far, its been hectic, but I find time to help her write.

But anyways, check out her other blog, Pantaloons. www.flazooms.blogspot.com. Enjoy!

-Haldir is off to write!

Shadow Chaser:
Subject: College, first day

Hey guys, sorry for not updating in any of my fics. Right now it's 4am here in Boston, where I've just finished the first day of my college life. Moving into my dorm room yesterday was a lot of fun and I met a few cool people. But god, the worst thing was just sleeping there.

I had a pretty decent dorm room, or so I thought. The two quirks were that they were next to an entrance ramp and exit ramp to a semi-major highway and a huge garbage place was underneath our window. Oh boy was that fun. I was sorta sleeping for about 2 and half hours b/c of the traffic and my dorm mates moving around, but come 3am...here's the garbage truck! For about half and hour I couldn't sleep and was woken up. Now, I can't fall back asleep. I am so going to have insomnia and bags under my eyes for the rest of the night. This sucks.

Perhaps I shall invest in multiple ear-plugs tonight.

Yes. Earplugs.

-Shadow Chaser signing off for now. Haldir is too pooped to even write a damn word.

Shadow Chaser:
Subject: Character/story writing

If you've read most of my fics, you'll notice a recurring theme in almost each one of them (with the exception of vignettes). I feature strong women characters. Yes, I am a female and I do believe that whatever a guy can do, so can a woman. But that doesn't mean I'm a feminist. ^_^ I just so happen to include strong women characters to better further my plots.

Why write strong female characters? Try a Ripley-esque (Aliens) or Trinity-esque (Matrix) persona. I'll go over each predominant character in each of my story to show how and why.

Let's start from the beginning...my first story... (ahhh...feel the nostalgia)

Ronin Warriors: Forever You Will Know Me -
Character in question: Kareyn Wu

First off, Kareyn is a Mary Sue. I seriously acknowledge that. ^_^ And to tell you the truth I really hate her. I hate this story, but yet at the same time I love it because it was my first time writing an action-oriented fic. As a strong protagonist, she is the fusion for her boyfriend/lover Rowen Hashiba to reclaim and know his past history with Shadow Lord, Tokoshino Hashiba, and Sanjuro Hashiba. ^_^ Try comparing her to some movie character...uh...can't think of one right now.

Gundam Wing: After War -
Characters in question: Jennifer Khushrenada & Locke Dabnerba

Both working for the same side, one is a psychopath, the other is...well...another psychopath. I won't really focus on Jennifer Khushenada, but mostly focus on Locke. Locke is the main focus character for the whole After War Trilogy. Her legacy spans to the Add-on, Retaliation. ^_^ Now, Locke is definitely a male name and the origins of her are revealed in Retaliation. She was originally a He before transferring clones. ^_^ Locke is a formidable character because she possess jealousy and vengeance, both, in women, burn hot and very long. You try making you girlfriend jealous or wife jealous...see how long they stay mad at you. They might not show it after a few days, but trust me, they're still mad. I know...cause I am still a bit angry with my parents after an arguement we had a few days ago.

Gundam Wing: Vengeance of Wars -
Characters in question: Azure "Hawk" Williams & Ione Kurama

Hawk...what can I say about her. The ultimate bitch in Trowa's case. Poor Trowa. ^_^ Was originally a trusted member of his team but betrayed him. She is like...close to Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, always looking out for herself and getting the treasure for herself. It's the evil woman inside all of us when we see something we really want and will do anything to get it. (Yup, I'm talking about fan girls glomping onto various actors). But she is also capable of taking care of herself when needed.

Ione...Ione is like Kareyn Wu of my Ronin Warriors story. She is essentially a Mary Sue that is able to hook up with Quatre. She possess empathic powers that enable her to kick some serious butt in her Maganac. ^_^

Gundam Wing: Price of Peace -
Characters in question: Reyna Maxwell, Cerelia "Neo" Winner, & Lealya Dabnerba

Reyna...the protective sister we would all like to have, she loves dearly and rarely lets go. The death of her older brother Tarrant hits her hard and she vows vengeance. She is strong and willful and does like to play men along but is also unsure of herself. She and Neo are close, but different.

Neo...empathic to the point of almost being telekentic, Neo is insecure, worried, and wants to save the world. She is typical almost-average girl who loves to do everyday things like auto racing (yup, I do know a few girls who auto-race). She is also meek and shy around guys, and like many women on this planet, falls for a guy in uniform. ^_^

Lealya...near clone of Locke. But she is bitch in the making. Too bad I killed her off. ^_^ Even more of a bitch than Azure, she's a double agent. She cheats and sleeps with whomever to get her way then kills them. Reminds me of that evil sex-loving woman that Famke Janssen plays on 007: Goldeneye. Creepy.

Vision of Escaflowne: Silent Attack -
Character in question: East Rali

East is the epitonomy of all of my female characters with two exceptions, Marion Sadow and Locke Dabnerba. She is a near-Mary Sue, but with her own violent past and a familial relationship to Van Fanel. She tries to protect all and defend all. She bores hatred for no one except the killer of her husband. She is a heroine on her own quest of vengeance and completes that when she kills Scina Abira. She's like many of the hero movies...

Beyond Rurouni Kenshin: Arashi no Hitomi -
Character in question: Chizuru Raikouji

We've only seen her briefly at the end of Seishou Hen, but seeing her made me want to expand on her role and who she is to Kenji Himura. I wanted her to be strong, like Kaoru, able to defend herself when needed, but also peaceful and a gentle lover to Kenji. In Arashi no Hitomi she is tempted by the two people she has fallen in love with, Kenji and his rival Sawato Yukishiro. ^_^

Lord of the Rings: Pastime Promises, Memories -
Character in question: Valiya, Swordmaiden of Mirkwood & Rinaran, Swordmaiden of Rivendell

Though you don't see it yet, but in my other LoTR fic, it alludes to it, Valiya will definitely have a huge role in this series. Along with my other character Rinaran. ^_^ More later about these two.

Lord of the Rings: AU: The Shadows that Remain -
Characters in question: Anna Elanore, Galadriel, Rinaran, & Liz Ruthersfield

Come on...it's the Fellowship reincarnated. 'Nuff said...except I'm basing a bit of the reincarnated Arwen of the movies and of the books. ^_^ Rinaran however, is another story. She'll be commanding submarines during the battles...can't say more, more will spoil. ^_^

Harry Potter: AU: That Which Can't Be Seen -
Characters in question: Lily Evans Potter, Marion Sadow, Emmeline Daigger, Arabella Figg, Tonks, Molly Weasley, Hermione Granger, Ginny Weasley, etc.

All of them with the exception of Lily, Marion, and Emmeline are in HP canon. Go read J.K. Rowling's books. Lily because now she's alive she is a major factor, Marion and Emmeline are Aurors and they have a tendency to be very, very strong female characters. Both in authoritative figures and both with bad histories, both also with death marks on their heads.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Legend of the Seas -
Character in question: Anne Turner

Ah...Anne...so fiesty, just like her mother. Except she also has her father's side of experience as a sailor, swordplay, and most of all, the knack for pirating. ^_^

Fics I left out: B5: To Walk Between Darkness and Light, Gundam 0379: Rift Rebellion, Star Wars: Ruse of Rogues, Star Wars: Lusankya. This is because either the fic is not far enough into the plot that I can't tell you what female characters are going to emerge or because its based off of canon. ^_^

Well, there you have it. Female characters. ^_^ Next is why I put Legolas centric fics together...^_^

-Shadow signing off...^_^x

Master has finally catalogued roughly how many chapters will it take her to write The Shadow that Remains:

About 57 chapters, give or take a few.

Whew! Talk about pressure!

-Haldir is off to see if the LoTR idea is up to working. ^_^

   Wednesday, July 23, 2003
Shadow Chaser:

Well...I guess I might as well tell why I like Legolas so much. When I first read the novels before watching Fellowship of the Ring on the big screen, I found the Elf intriguing, but not too much. At first, I have to admit, I really didn't like him that much, I found his singing a bit annoying (actually I found the whole Fellowship and other characters' singing annoying). But as soon as he encounter Haldir and his band of Elves in Lothlorien with that "Daro!" command by Haldir I fell over laughing so hard! I loved him from then on. Come on...if you could scare an Elf like that...*falls over laughing*

I've always imagined Legolas to be willowy, blonde hair, but fierce looking. Much like that famous paitning of Legolas in helmet-armor with Gimli (forgot who did the painting). Never had I expected him to be played by Orlando Bloom. ^_^ The only thing I don't like about the movie version of Legolas is his innocent expression. That was what irritated me. I figure if Legolas has been alive for over 2,000 years, he would have garnered plenty of experience in battle and horrors, especially living in Mirkwood. ^_^

Now...why I like Haldir...

The most underused Elf of all. Only there for Lothlorien and that's it. ^_^ Yep, you guessed it, its that "Daro!" command again. Someone so forceful to scare the shit out of a Mirkwood princling has got to be the best. ^_^ Then when he was portrayed in the movies, I was happy - until Two Towers came out then I was extremely pissed. Haldir's loyalties are to Galadriel and Celeborn, to no one else. He would have fought with Galadriel at Angmar when they went to attack. Not go to help humans in Helm's Deep.

Now, I don't have anything against Craig Parker portraying Haldir, its just the blonde hair-brown eyebrow thing again. Except this time, Parker gave Haldir a fierce quality that I found intriguing and liked. ^_^ It reinforced my love of the character of Haldir. But I was still disappointed that Tolkien didn't use the Elf so much in his novels...which is why I intergrated so much of Haldir into my LoTR stories. ^_^

Why I like Elves in general...

Etheral quality, magic, and a sense of immoratlity that is not associated with us mortals. It's the Phoenix Concept. ^_^

Which is why my Baldur's Gate character is either Half-Elf or Elf. ^_^ An always either an archer or mage-user.

-Shadow Chaser signs off...

   Tuesday, July 22, 2003
Apparently I've finished 2 chapters of LoTR fic tonight. Wow.

Enjoy on fanfiction.net! ^_^

Btw, get the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack...it apparently did wonders for me while writing. ^_^ Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer are genusis!

-Haldir is off to sleep.

Shadow Chaser:

I've recently finished the first three books of the Dragonlance Chronicles and am totally obessed with it. Currently playing Baldur's Gate to quench it. ^_^ Having fun! Raistlin is scarey but so cool. Tanis...just gotta love a half-elf divided among his loves.

I personally do not like Kitiara. I really hate her. But I respect her for her decisions.

Lesee...Laurana...she is by far one of the strongest female characters I've met and liked and I absolutely love her brother Gilthanas. ^_^ I was sad that Flint died...but he lived a good and long life. Tas. Oh boy...Tasslehoff....one word: annoying. Annoying as hell. 'Nuff said.

I was devestated when Kitiara killed Strum. Boy was I pissed...very pissed. He reminds me of Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn's character of Amonen, but a lot less arrogant.

Goldmoon and Riverwind. Don't know what to say about these two, but they were cool, especially Goldmoon turning into a cleric and Riverwind going into a 'bezerker' rage mode. ^_^ Tika. Tika and Caramon, yup I am a sore sucker for these two, but I usually don't deal with peeps like them. They're cool and stuff, but they don't really appeal to me.

However...Raistlin does. ^_^ Mages rulz.

Silvana and Alhana. Whoa. ^_^ Brillant...manipulative...these two got the makings of Drow elves yet they aren't. ^_^

Anyways, I'm going back to go play Baldur's Gate. Btw, my character that I'm playing is a female mage Conjurer. ^_^ Wonder what happens if she turns to something like Raistlin...^_^ I love Dragonlance.

-Shadow Chaser is off to play!

Sorry to those peeps expecting updates for my recent stories: LoTR: The Shadows that Remain, HP: That Which Can't Be Seen, Pirates of the Caribbean: Legend of the Seas, X-Wing: Lusankya, and Stargate SG-1: Endgame...I've been very busy trying to arrange stuff with my college for the last few days and probably would continue to do so into this week.

Please be patient with me, stuff are coming...^_^

-Haldir is off to poke those colleges...

   Tuesday, July 15, 2003
Shadow Chaser:

Whoa. Talk about weird-central. I brought the first five episdoes of RahXephon, a Japanese Anime which I thought looked a lot like Neon Genesis Evangelion and watched it. The reason I brought it was first because of my love of Eva and second because Maaya Sakamoto a talented Japanese voice actress and singer sung the intro, Hemisphere.

Twisted.

RahXephon is NOTHING like Eva. It's twisted and with serious adult overtones. The topics are so intertwined together that I had trouble following it, which is a second for me as Eva was the first anime I was so confused. But I love the characters, especially the romantic overtones of at least every woman who sees Ayato is mesmerized. But then again, he's so cute and has this mysterious air about him. Not to mention he's finally one of the most NORMAL anime characters, main characters might I add, who is practically like us reality humans.

He loves to paint, draw, goes to school, even likes to hang around his friends and have fun with them. Now that is a seriously normal anime main character! *dies of shock* Then comes the twisted part. His mom apparently is one of those blue-blooded peoples...(don't worry watch the anime and you'll get it) and he has the ability to control a psychic/organic mecha named RahXephon.

Saying more will definitely spoil everything and for the first five episodes, I am seriously hooked. I want to see more!

RahXephon, you have my congrats on such a great storyline!

-Shadow Chaser is off to FYE to see if she could buy more. Haldir is coming along for the ride!
*psst...it's been too long since I seen a fresh new anime. I have to get out more*

   Friday, July 11, 2003
Master just saw Pirates of the Caribbean today...good movie too. There is a foundling muse on the birth. Scarey. ^_^

But anyways, here's her theory concerning Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and the Curse.

Shadow Chaser:

I think that Jack Sparrow is Will Turner Sr. In a twisted sense. I mean if Jack was Undead and boned, for all appearances, the dead don't really age. But then you can say that he didn't turn Undead until he stole some of the Aztec gold on his fingers (and especially when he was jailed and two pirates came to him in the moonlight). But what if Cap'n Jack Sparrow was Will Turner Sr.?

It could be a possibility.

Remember, they kept talking about the blood that was Turner's to lift the Curse and Sparrow wasn't happy that they were stealing this Aztec gold and protested. The men also said that they "killed" Turner, but they didn't really say how as they were inturrupted. Also, Jack was thrown off into an uncharted island, left for dead, and the rest of his crew thought him dead. The pirates also said that things didn't bode well between Barbossa and Turner which was why they had him "killed", kind of like things didn't work out between Barbossa and Sparrow.

So which leads to the case...Undead. Technically, if they're Cursed, cursed people don't usually age unless it is an aging curse. They're typically cursed to stay forever young or forever old. Check out the time difference and years it took for Barbossa's men and Sparrow to find the Aztec Gold. Surely it would have taken nearly thirty to forty years, enough time for a lot of things to happen.

Then when you look at the last few scenes, before Barbossa is killed, Jack tosses Will the gold Aztec piece and if you noticed, the piece was already covered in blood...Jack's blood. Will also added his blood, but the frame rate is too fast for us to see him cut his hand and why doesn't his hand bleed if it's cut? Which brings to mind that Jack Sparrow is indeed Will Turner's father.

Some family history heh? Makes you wonder about the beginning and Sparrow's attempt to "use" his son. Weird.

Well, another day at work. Master is currently at her first job, Summer Explorations at the elementary school. It's a lot of fun and she got to cook Chinese food today! ^_^

On the fic front...

Master is currently debating whether or not to write in Stargate SG-1 or Harry Potter AU. I say go for both...maybe start another SG-1 fic for the hell of it. ^_^ Tis fun! But perhaps she will ponder it some more when she goes to her second work at the Connecticut Post. Will post more later.

-Haldir is off again! ^_^x

Master....master...master?

Uh oh...Master is in a foul mood...or semi-foul. She's been trying to contact her college about her tuition bill and they're a bit anal. But not to worry, she has ranted to them and is awaiting their answers. Hopefully it will be constructive or else she will most certainly go into full-blown pissed mood.

But on the fic front...Master is also awaiting for Nessie her beta reader to finish reading the Prologue of her new Harry Potter story so she could refine it and post it for all to see. Take your time Nessie-chan! Master is paitent with you...^_^

-Haldir is off tending ideas...and herding them...

   Sunday, July 06, 2003
Yesterday, and the day before Master spent the whole day playing Baldur's Gate. Uh oh...I sense the new foundling idea, BG is a bit restless. Oh yes, she also brought the Stargate SG-1 Season 3 DVD and we watched it...fun stuff! Another uh oh...the Stargate idea is threatening to tear down the gates...oops. Anyways, she started her new Harry Potter fic so it should be on fanfiction.net and schnoogle.com before long. Ciao peeps!

-Haldir is off to check on those pesky ideas!

   Monday, June 30, 2003
Master got quite a few positive responses on her little essay. Way cool! Now I have to help her refine it. Oh yes, for those who wish to contact my Master, you can email her at:

Shadow Chaser:

Well, I posted a comment on www.the-leaky-cauldron.org about a newspaper article the webmistresses and masters found. Anyways, here's my response on why I don't think Sirius Black is quite dead...

When Harry entered the Department of Mysteries he said that he found a dais with a veil in it and he and Luna Lovegood heard voices from within. What if those voices were those that passed into the veil, but couldn't get out? And if you noticed, Sirius was hit with a "jet of red light". That looks a bit like the Impediment Curse or hell even the other Unforgiveable Curses, but most definitely not Avada Kedavra.

Remember, Avada Kedavra was a jet of green light. So Sirius could have been stunned and fell into the veil. Which brings us back to what the hell is it? In my humble opinion, I think its a gateway. No, not like the heaven sort of thing...more like a dimensional gateway that takes it to the previous door which Harry tried to get through but couldn't (the one where he tried to use Sirius' multi-tool that he gave him and it melted). And what's in that door?

Power.

What kind of power? Your guess is as good as mine. My guess is that its power that's beyond anything anyone had ever seen. It's the power that who ever wields it would make them dangerous (remember the Department of Mysteries is Mysteries). So then who are the voices?

Temptation.

They are the voices beckoning for Harry to come join them, to be engulfed in the viel and possibly be destroyed by the power beyond. So if Sirius fell in and was "consumed" how come I think he isn't dead? Simple. He fell through involuntarily. I feel that Sirius didn't want that power so he would be able to come back out alive from it.

Remember, this is all my speculations. For all I know, J.K. Rowling wanted Sirius dead, to go out in a blaze of glory (well...not exactly as he could have ducked Bellatrix' curse). Now, how would Sirius come back out alive? I think when they open the door that cannot be opened. I think Dumbledore knows what's behind there and he knows that Sirius isn't dead. I mean he is quite calm (though you can say that he has faced a lot of his colleagues' death), and he doesn't seem to be worried that Sirius is dead and Harry is distraught.

But then you can accuse me of being in denial, after all, Sirius is my favorite character. But for those who know me, you can also say that I do have a point. In the NJO books of Star Wars, Troy Denning killed Anakin Solo, one of my favorite characters, but I do think Anakin is quite dead, but able to come back in spirit form. But that's for another blog posting. ^_^

I'll probably add more to this little rambling as I collect my thoughts, but overall, I loved Order of the Phoenix and applaud Ms. Rowling for an excellent read. I just hope that Book 6 comes through soon!

-Shadow Chaser signing off...^_^x

And Master did it again...

I should really neuter those plot bunnies...but Glorfindel from Master's sister's head told me that neutering plot bunnies isn't such a good thing. Well...we'll see when he begins to hear voices that are not his own... THEY'RE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!!!!

Anyways, Master did it again...

Yup...

She created another fic...

And this time its actually pretty good and she would be able to include everything she wanted for her AU HP Bk. 5,6,7. Which means it will be featuring the Dreamers of Legend and more Merlin related stuff. What is this fic you are talking about? Harry Potter of course.

Harry Potter in which its a gritty, darker, brave new world. Voldemort is quite alive and allegiances are not what they seem. Sirius Black has remained the Potter's Secret-Keeper, but things are edging towards a show down.

Yes, yes, Master keeps telling that it sounds an awful lot like Robin's excellent fic, but I assure you it isn't. Try The Shadows that Remain, but twisted seriously. ^_^

-Haldir nances off to neuter plot bunnies! ^_^x

   Saturday, June 28, 2003
Well, Master and I decided that we were going to revamp some fics that have been lying around fanfiction.net on her Author Profile. Here's what we came up with to change:

1. Ronin Warriors: Forever You Will Know Me
- It had been the sequel to A New Warrior, but Master didn't get to write that so we decided that it would be good to expand and clump everything together. Perhaps throw in a little of the Future Ronins (aptly renamed from C-Ronins which sounded stupid in my opinion but Master didn't listen to me), backgrounds and such information. After all, it was Master's first fanfic that she completed and wrote so wouldn't it be great to re-write everything? Maybe even change the plot a little to include some more indepth information about Sanjuro Hashiba and his brother Tokoshino.

2. Gundam Wing: After War Trilogy
- Well, I don't think Price of Peace needs any improving except for some liner notes and more detail, but looking at the writing style of both After War and Vengeance of Wars and their plots...eeek... And I also took into heart some of the comments of the people that reviewed. Some of the events and plots do sound like a rip from the Anime. Will also probably give it a bettter name and title.

3. Vision of Escaflowne - Silent Attack
- First of all, the title sounds dumb. The plot sounds great. The writing is too short. I might add some more to East Rali's character and flesh her out some more so that many might not think her as a Mary-Sue-ish character (I assure you she isn't but Master's beta-reader says she has some qualities of a Mary Sue [shudders]). Besides, now that Master has watched the movie, it be good to add some mythic and pyschic elements into the story (btw...Van's psychic battle with Dilandau was scarey, but I didn't really like it that much).

4. Star Wars: Aftermath: Ruse of Rogues
- Oh boy...what can I say about this potential series. I'm not even going to be touching it since the NJO hasn't finished yet. Might touch it afterwards. Must research a lot more about the Vong. Jaina is scarey when she is dark. Jacen is cool. They shouldn't have killed Anakin (eh...a lot like the Sirius Black thing...). The Bakurians are TOTAL IDIOTS!!!! Pellaeon is WAY COOL. Ooops...supposed to tell you what to do with this fic. First thing, it will always be a Horn/Halcyon family line centric fic. It will be a Valin Horn-centric, Corran Horn-centric. ^_^ Rogue Squad-centric. The plot lines need definite tweaking. Maybe I can neuter those plot bunnies....*evil cackle*

5. Harry Potter and the Dreamer of Fears
- I want to expand more on Harry's fifth year after reading J.K. Rowling definitive version of his fifth year. Of course, now it is totally AU, but I have a fickle for Merlin-related stuff....so I am so putting it more in here. Maybe I'll just write it out and see what happens. Btw, in Favorite Stories section, I found an excellent HP fic by Robin.

6. Lord of the Rings: Pastime Promises, Memories
- Maybe instead of starting from Story 2, I should start from Story 1. Heh. ^_^ 'Nuff said.

Fics that I'm currently happy working on:

1. Lord of the Rings: The Shadows that Remain
- Hell yeah! AU rulz. Technomages rulz. Irimages rulz. Vernomages rulz. Shadow Elves rulz. Sub-humans rulz. Undead rulz. Orcs stink (P.U.). Robotic horses rulz (thanks Mr. Banks for giving me that idea!).

2. Star Wars: Lusankya
- And why not? It's torture abound for poor Tycho Celchu. ^_^

3. Beyond Rurouni Kenshin: Arashi no Hitomi
- Kenji is soooooo cool!

4. Stargate SG-1: Endgame
- The hard part is writing everyone back alive. But Sam's Intergalatic Fan Club is the best!

-Haldir is off to ponder some more and to write! ^_^x

Holy smokes. Holy shit. Holy Fifth book of Harry Potter.

They killed Sirius. Woah. Acutally, J.K. Rowling killed Sirius. Will write more later.

Off to dunk head in water.

Back from Von Trapp, Stowe, Vermont Trip. Back to writing.

-Haldir is off to bathe in a pool....summers are too hot. Whew!

   Thursday, June 19, 2003
My master just saw a newscast that said that Harry and Hermione were going to "snog" or in American terms, kiss, in the book. Eeeww...bad mental image. I'm a semi-Harry/Hermione fan, though I mostly see them as sibling-like. I'm more of a Ron/Hermione shipper. Okay...bad mental image...must write in HP and the Dreamer of Fears. Ahh...never mind. Anyways, Book 5 due out in two days!!!

Never eat Shrimp. Shellfish she is allergic too. Hives are bad. Very bad. Can't type properly in this blog. Ouchie. Itchy. Medication needed. Thank you. Returning you now to your regular programming.

-Haldir is off to fume...grrr...those damned shrimp!

Hi peeps! It's been a long time since I chatted. My master was kind enough to purchase the Rurouni Kenshin OAV: Seishou Hen and watched it today! Yay! I am totally inspired to now go plug meself into the Kenshin muse and start typing away! Hee hee!

-Haldir is off to go fight Enishi...^_^x

*coughs*

Ahem...anyways, I'm just cruising along at the moment...probably gonna go see Finding Nemo in about a week or so...

Shadow Chaser:

CT State Latin Day! Wow...it actually made front page of the local newspaper! And my pic's on it too! My sis and I played Castor and Pollux (she being Pollux, me being Castor) and we had lots of fun! The interview was crazy...we fell into the roles and fell out of it and tried to lighten things up a bit. We, as in the Latin kids of our school, got our butts whooped badly in the Certamen. Oi...90 to 15 in favor of Bristol Central High School. Ouchie...score bad for THS. But luckily my sis and I won 2nd for our costume contest and our friend Heather who had been playing Cloelia a Roman woman who crossed the Tiber (correct me if I'm wrong) in a heroic attempt, won 2nd too. Yay! And free food all day at Holiday Hill in Chesire! Whoo hoo!

-Shadow Chaser is off to prep for her Senior Trip, back to Holiday Hill!!!

Shadow Chaser:

I saw Matrix: Reloaded last night for the first time. Oh my god. Another winner! The special effects were literally mind-blowing! I love all of the bullet-time sequences and the fight scenes. Though, the plot is subtle, the interaction of human, machine, and all of the philosophy squeezed in between made it an enjoyable movie, even though I was suffering through a nasty bout of the common cold. Yuck. Anyways, I loved The Twins. They were memorable, priceless, and most certainly, they are still alive after Morpheus supposedly fried them. Hee hee. I guarantee that you'll love them. Now me sis and I are playing the twins.

"We are aggravated..."
"Yes we are..."

Priceless.

Neo was spectacular...and the whole The One thing took such an unexpected turn. I loved Trinity. But the sex scene between her and Neo was not needed. You could already tell that both loved each other with an intense passion. Hm...I sense Haldir mucking around maybe writing another fic...Haldir!!! Stop it! You need to concentrate on your current projects! Anyways, more ranting tomorrow along with a short notice on CT State Latin Day!

-Shadow Chaser logging off....^_^x

Well, I got off my lazy butt and decided to finish the rest of Lusankya CH 8. It's full of evil and seductiveness stuff. ^_^ Hee hee...featuring Grania! Enjoy peeps on either www.wookieehut.com or www.fanfiction.net. ^_^

Shadow Chaser's Notes:

Prom was Friday! It was pretty good, with the exception of horrible grunge music played for most of the time, but there were some good ones thrown in, along with the usuals like Cotton-Eyed Joe, Macarena, and Electric Slide. I laughed as they played Billie Jean by Michael Jackson...that was a classic. Slow danced with my best friend/prom date, even though he absolutely refused to dance for the whole night. He had almost gotten away with it until I dragged him out onto the dance floor. Danced a bit, but couldn't dance that much because the floor was too slippery for my shoes and my stockings. Eeek. Overall, it was great! ^_^

Haldir's Notes:
While my master was at the prom, I was having fun hiding in the background and catching up on some shut eye. ^_^ Back to writing though, this time probably a mix of Lusankya, LoTR AU, Ruse of Rogues, and X-Men: Evolution. Hee hee... ^_^x

-Haldir is off to write!

   Sunday, May 04, 2003
Saw the new Cirque du Soliel: Varekai. Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! I loved it far better than Mystere, which was the last one I've seen in Las Vegas. I'm probably gonna see if I can get the tickets to see Dralion in Hartford, CT near my home, but that's another story. Funny thing was that a few stray thoughts kept running in my head. Mainly the whisper of X-Men, Escaflowne, and Star Wars....very odd...

-Shadow Chaser signing off...Haldir will be back tomorrow! ^_^

   Friday, May 02, 2003
I just came from watching X-Men 2: X-Men United. Oh my god...for those who don't want to read about it, please go to another blog or to my fanfic page on fanfiction.net. This will contain huge spoilers...

The ending is so obvious that Brian Singer is going to be doing the Phoenix Saga, or at least his intepretation of it. Which brings to light whether the Shi'ar Empire will get invovled and hopefully if we see a spot or a glimpse of Scott's past (aka Cosair and Havoc), cause they didn't really do to much with Cyke this time around...again...

Jean Grey, "dies" in this movie. Note the quotes around dies. You can see that she is becoming Phoenix in all of her close eye-shots and finally in the full-body shot during the last few scenes. Wow...and to say I can't wait! ^_^ My sis just told me that when I was just a wee little 2nd grader in Elementary school (early 1990s) a group of kids used to play X-Men and I was casted the part of Jean Grey. Creepy...

I loved how they did Iceman's history in the new movie, though it's a bit skewed at times, but then again with Iceman, in the comics and cartoons, I've always had a soft spot for him. And for Cyke (yes I am one of the few, probably one out of every three Cyke haters, to be a fan...) I've always disliked Logan/Wolverine for interfering in Cyke's and Jean, excuse me, Phoenix's, relationship, especially from his appearance in the comic books. I don't know...Wolverine never appealed to me, where as ruby-glassed Scott Summers always did wonders for my beating heart. Don't ask...its just a fan girl (a few fangirls of the X-Men comic and cartoon genre) working her maniacal schemes.

Oh yeah, speaking of schemes...got a semi-screwed up X-Men: Evolution fic on the drawing board... I'm planning to twist both Apocalypse and Phoenix Saga into one mashed up thing...but I think it might be hard for me to sort through so much different material swimming their lazy backstrokes in my brain. Great...now I have to deal with this... ^_^ Stay on the lookout for it!

Rogue...let's see...I don't like her in this movie or in the other movie. I hated her. I want her to absorb Ms. Marvel so I can sit back content and see her fly around! And where the hell is Gambit! There has to be a Rogue and a Gambit! Grr...

Pyro was the best. Hee hee...that little traitor (giggles madly). Though I have yet to see the other members of the Brotherhood...wonder where they all went for this movie...hmm... Mystique...oohhh...now that's an enigma. I was seriously hoping for her to reveal that she's the adopted mother of Rogue and the biological mother of Kurt, but she didn't. Darn. Anyways, hee hee...cool special effects in her shape shifting through I wish she put on more clothes... *Sighs* Ah...

Kurt. Kurt Wagner. Nighcrawler. Never liked him, though I hope that Brian Singer shows a bit of a friendship in the next movie between him and Kitty/Shadowcat. Hee hee...

Which brings up the possibility of more mutants. I was wishing for Angel/Archangel to make an appearance or even perhaps Psylocke, but alas...to no avail...but I was seriously happy with Lady Deathstrike. Ouchie...nice death scene they did for her, a bit on the gross side, but I loved it anyways.

Okay...okay...here is a list of my fave mutants from the X-Men Universe: Cyke/Scott Summers, Jean Grey/Phoenix, Iceman/Bobby Drake, Psylocke/Betsy Braddock, Archangel/Warren Worthington III (avenging hearts are cool), Rogue (when she absorbed Ms. Marvel and can fly!), and Destiny (hee hee...)

Least Favorite mutants: Havoc (god he has a huge ego...though in Evolution they made him nice...), Wolverine, Mr. Sinister (he's scarey...creepy...), Mesmero (definite scaryness), and when I get the chance, I'll write more...

-Shadow Chaser checks the time...oops...time to sleep!

Mood: Whoa...trippy!

You know...I have to remind my master sometimes not to watch too much of a thing, especially if its X-Men: Evolution. She's gotten her X-Men muse plugged into me and it's driving me nuts! Oh well, at least it's a phase...hopefully, but I fear it might be amplified since this weekend she's supposed to see X2 for her CT Post: CTTeens review. Eeek!

-Haldir runs off to hide from Cyke firing his optic beam all over the place!

Mood: Saddened, but hyper...

First things first...good news and bad news from my little corner in the universe. Bad news, Shadow Chaser's sister's favorite fish, Gilgamesh has died. Apparently, it committed hari-kari by jumping out of its tank in the morning and we didin't discover the poor creature until the late afternoon. Gilgy got a proper burial, except we had to keep the neighbor's cat, Squeaky, away.

Good news. Shadow Chaser's got a huge ego boost just over an hour ago reading that she had her fic Lusankya posted up on http://www.wookieehut.com, and apparently got a review from some of the people in there. Yep...ego boosts are not good for a muse as I was completely whirled around while she jumped up and down with giddiness. Oro...

-Haldir will now go away to nurse a sudden dizzy spell...@_@

Mood: Hee hee...evil torture mood!

Well, I finally got my butt into gear and started to download fresh information from Shadow Chaser's Star Wars idea. And out popped Lusankya! So far, I'm channeling Lusankya to Shadow Chaser so she'll be cranking out new chapters. Torture for Tycho Celchu is very fun! Ah yes, for those wondering about Stargate SG-1. Don't worry...it's coming.

I also have a baby idea, an offspring of the Star Wars idea, that I'd like to throw around for a bit. It's about Wedge and Iella's wedding, but Leonia Tavira wants to mess it up, not to mention an enemy of Wedge wants to get back at him. It's like Union, except a little twisted...hee hee. *Psst...was planning to have Corran go Jedi in this fic...* So please tell me if this is good idea to pursue or not!

-Haldir nances away to write some more torture stuff!

Mood: AHHHHHHHHH!!!

Shadow Chaser's sister just played the British-aired episode of Full Circle, the season finale of Season 6 of Stargate SG-1 and I frazzled out. Oh my god...I was just writing a story with the concept that the Others or Ascended are actually the Ancients, based on the Orlin-episode, Asecension. Creep. I swear to you, that I wrote this just a few weeks ago...before seeing Full Circle. Here's as it follows...

“Forget his memories, forget all the knowledge that he has had passed onto him by the one who sired him, Apophis,” Orlin suddenly spoke up, his voice quiet and passive and Sam turned sharply to stared at the brown haired man. “We of the Ascended beings have such various…powers I guess is your term for our abilities.”
“Wait…hold on a sec,” Jack interrupted, “you’re telling me, Orlin, that you remember what you were when you…Ascended?”
“Yes, Colonel O’Neill,” Orlin replied politely, “unfortunately, Dr. Jackson has not been with us for so long. When we both chose exile from the Ascended, or Others as my race has been referred to, he was too young to remember what he has done while in this form.”
“And you…remember?” Hammond looked positively unconvinced.
“Yes, General,” Orlin inclined his head in agreement, “however…due to certain restrictions placed on me, I cannot tell you what you mostly desire.”
“But you nearly did that when you were here first…” Sam blurted out, and blushed slightly as all stared at her. She had forgotten that she didn’t really say much on her report of Orlin and the miniature Stargate in her basement.
“Carter-“
“However, I can tell you of certain things,” Orlin interrupted whatever Jack was going to say, and Sam was grateful. She didn’t want questions coming from her CO that might make the two of them in a very uncomfortable working relationship later on.
“Such as?” even Teal’c’s interest was piqued.
“For one, my race of people, and of the persons you know as Oma Desala and Shifu, the Harcesis child, are the creators of the Stargate,” Orlin said in a simple voice.
“The what?!”
“We are,” Orlin caught everyone’s gaze and held Sam’s the longest, “the Ancients.”
* * *

I kid you not...this is exactly how I wrote it. I can even get backup to prove this. Creepy...very creepy...I think I'm gonna go faint...

-Haldir runs and hides in the recesses of Shadow Chaser's mind. Eep!

Mood: Happy!

Well, it looks like the snow storm that hit us in the Northeast section of the USA has given me some quality time to get my little butt in gear and plug in a few ideas. The result? Shadow Chaser has finally posted another chapter of her Future-AU fic. Yay! Go me! Yes yes, I know that peeps have been bugging, or more like me, to write in the other LoTR fic, Pastime Promises, but hey, I'm only a muse and thus have so much room.

But while we're on that subject of room...psst...be careful of my fellow muse Glorfindel...he's preening and basking in his own glory of defeating a Balrog that Shadow Chaser has just finished reading The Silmarillion. Grr...stupid Eldar elf!

Haldir is off to eat a few oranges!

Mood: Quite Cheerful

Welcome to Caras Galadhon...the heart of Elvendom on Earth; realm of the Lord Celeborn and of Galadriel, Lady of Light. No seriously, I thought that the part where the actor Craig Parker dragged this line out too much. Made it all lumpy or something of that nature. But anyways, my master, Shadow Chaser has been bugging me to write my own little blog with my thoughts to share with all of you and so I consented. All right, all right...truth is that I don't really feel like sharing, but I will. But just remembered, you've been warned:

I am a Muse and as a Muse, I can become odd at times. Not that odd, but really odd...as in hyper one minute, cool and collected the next. ^_^

~Haldir is going to go get a few lembas to eat!
