Master's been on a slight FF7-high for the last couple of days, but decided to post up a few of what she's currently working on. Here's a preview of Gundam SEED: Arbiter Forces, X: Chances, and Final Fantasy 7: Jenova's Children.

Gundam SEED: Arbiter Forces - Chapter 8

“Well, it is in your genes, Kira,” Madison said in an annoyingly simple voice that he found to be just a bit irritating. It was as if she was talking down to a petulant child. “You are the Ultimate Coordinator and it would be beneficial if you can learn how to use your gifts to the full advantage.”

“What so I can be your weapon?”

“No, no, we don’t need you to be a weapon. That’s what Nikolai’s been created for,” Madison blinked lazily before a smile appeared on her face.

Kira blinked at the meaning of her words. Griever’s name had been Nikolai Mercus…it couldn’t be the same Nikolai could it? But looking at her expression ice began to form in his stomach and he realized that Patrick Zala had been behind the Talon. All of the pieces of the puzzle for the last few weeks were falling into place. He should have figured it out when he saw the man and knew that the man was obsessed with finding him…of course he would set a trap up for him at Mendel. Talon was just a front for his own schemes and it would seem that he had set up this elaborate trap just to get him.

"Ah, I see you’ve figured it out,” Madison tilted her head slightly; “it took you long enough. I would have figured you would have been brighter in deducing Patrick’s plans. Oh well, not all Coordinators are created the same…I should have expected that.”

X: Chances

“Originally, Genbu, the God of the North decided he wanted more power than any of the other Four Gods. He wanted to challenge Kami himself and so his counterpart, Suzaku opposed him. They pitted their warriors against each other and in the end, Suzaku won. However, though it was not known to us at that time, Byako was manipulating Genbu and he was the true God who wanted all of the power. He attacked Suzaku and destroyed most of his warriors, leaving only the three most powerful clans of Japan barely alive. But Suzaku was able to push Byako back until the appointed time.”

“Which is now,” Sora interjected, “or rather, was supposed to be if the Promised Day Prophecy wasn’t created."

Seiryuu silenced Sora with a glare, “Now, Byako gathers his warriors and the only one left to stop them is you, my warriors – the Dragons of Heaven and Earth. Seiryuu’s Warriors.

“Then, why? Why did you create the Promised Day? Why did you not want us to fight Byako’s Warriors?” Fuma spoke up quietly in the back and Kamui turned, half surprised to see his best friend step forward, Kotori protectively behind him.

“Because of the pain and suffering you all would suffer. However, I see now that my error was that of creating a false Prophecy…one to try to prevent you from fulfilling this one. I did not want to see any of you hurt or possibly dead. But I see now that my errors are that of avoiding the Prophecy,” Seiryuu bowed her beautiful head sadly, “I am truly sorry, my warriors. I give you the choice now. Will you help fulfill the Prophecy and drive back Byako’s Warriors? If you chose not to, I will hold no ill will against you and you will return to your lives, both those that died and those that are still alive.”

“But the benefits of fighting Byako’s Warriors is that those that died, like me, be in our bodies, alive and breathing?” Sorata stepped up, a smirk on his face.

“Yes,” Seiryuu inclined her head once.

FF7: Jenova's Children

From the rows of cubicles that occupied the 65th floor of the Shinra Building in the sprawling metropolis of Midgar, one would have thought that a shock of blond hair, which looked oddly like chocobo greens, would be present in such a white-collared job industry. Such hair like that would demand cutting or at least some proper grooming, but then again, the people who suggested that didn’t know who was the owner of the spiky blond hair.

Cloud Strife sighed and ran a hand through his blond hair, not really noticing that his hair always returned to its position of a mass of porcupine-like spikes. All he was focused on was completing the report in front of him. He blinked his Mako blue eyes, the mark of a SOLDIER of Shinra, trying to make them focus on the typed words that were beginning to blur in front of his computer screen. He hated reports and hated the fact that he was always up late doing them for Shinra Inc. and especially for SOLDIER.

SOLDIER was the elite military force for the Mako/coal-based company, the former material now being a precious commodity since war broke out between the Shinra Empire and its westerly not-so-nice neighbor, the Kisagari Empire. Though he was third-in-command of all of SOLDIER, his position not easily gained as he had to go through rigors training and lead a lot of troops to battle and to their death, he was quite possibly one of the youngest to make it so high.

Okie, those are the previews!
